SARVIS, Clarence William – Of Mount Forest, at the Louise Marshall Hospital on Saturday, January 30th, 2021, six days after his 73rd birthday.  Beloved husband of Brenda (née Garton) for almost 53 years.  Loving father of Wendy Sarvis-Schlosser (Brian) and Michael Sarvis (Rebecca).  Loved Grandpa of Reed, Noah, Lucas and Callie.  Dear brother of Edward “Ted” Sarvis (late Joan), and brother-in-law of Barb Bye (late Martin & late Bob), George Garton, Lorraine Bristowe (Dennis), Bob Garton (Louise), Reta Deverell (Bill), Ron Garton (Mary Pat) and Debbie Olliff (Herb).  Clarence will be remembered by his in-laws Neil Koch and Muriel Garton, and by his many nieces, nephews and their families.  Clarence is predeceased by parents Delmar and Viola Sarvis, his sisters Marie Donaldson (Ted), Shirley McLeod, brother Arley Sarvis, his in-laws Janet Fallis (Ron), Florence Koch, and John Garton.  Clarence was known by many, through his exceptional sales ability, his involvement with Mount Forest Minor Hockey and Baseball, or being consistently the “head” fundraiser for the Big Brothers & Big Sisters Annual Fundraiser.  Clarence always wanted to give back to his community and was known as Grease, C.J. or Grumpy to many.  A private visitation and funeral service will be held at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest, with an interment in the spring at the Mount Forest Cemetery.  Clarence’s life will be celebrated when we can all safely be together.  Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Clarence are asked to consider the Mount Forest Firefighters, the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or the Mount Forest Legion – Branch 134.   Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
