Helping Families and Friends Honour Their Loved One

Our History

The Hendrick Funeral Home has faithfully served the community of Mount Forest and surrounding area since 1969. Prior to that time the funeral home had been owned and operated by Wilfred Coutts and Robert Gardiner respectively and later purchased from Mr. Hendrick by Allan and Pat Lee.

In 1997 Bruce and Sandy England moved to Mount Forest from Hamilton and assumed ownership of the Hendrick Funeral Home. They consider themselves fortunate to have raised our children in this wonderful community as they served the people of the area.

On November 1, 2010, the Hendrick Funeral Home was renamed the England Funeral Home Limited.

In February of 2016, Bruce and Sandy England sold the Funeral Home to Dawn McNab of the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home Ltd., in Durham. Dawn was born and raised in Priceville, Ontario and is the daugher of Tyna and the late Bev Watson. Dawn obtained her Funeral Director’s licence in 2000 and she purchased the McCulloch Funeral Home in Durham in September 2002, changing the name to McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home Ltd. In 2010 she married Chris McNab and together they feel blessed to be a part of the Durham and Mount Forest communities.

We honour and pay tribute to the Coutts, Gardiner, Hendrick, Lee and England families for their prior devotion to the community of Mount Forest and area.

We extend our appreciation and thanks to Wally and Gerry Wilkinson, Ray Tout and Rick Sinnamon for their loyal support, steadfast dedication and commitment to the community.
