Condolences

What a life filled with memories! My best memory is of the sparkle in his eyes while playing cards with the Letterbreen card group. I believe that our house on Highway 6 was the first house he plastered.

Awwww... we have lost a wonderful bowler and good friend. We used to share a few words whenever we met at the Village as we went to visit Steve's mom. He taught me that bowling is best if all are enjoying it - not just competing for the WIN...I so enjoyed his remarkable insights and humour...he sent me uplifting emails from time to time...I have been missing them this last while...God bless you all as you miss such a blessed man here on earth...Surely he will be serving above and gaining his well deserved eternal reward. Sincerely Barb(& Steve and District 8 Lawn Bowlers).

Bev leaves behind many friends at Alsfeldt United Church. He and Marlene were so supportive in many ways, but it was Bev's talent for "fixing anything and everything" that will always be remembered. Rather than saying that something needed fixing, he would just say "I have already taken care of it", whether that meant pointing the brick work, climbing up into the bell tower or calling the Township over an issue he felt they needed to take care of. Bev did it all and always had a good story to tell to go along with it. He was certainly one of a kind and will be missed by family and friends alike.

Our deepest sympathy to the Brown Family, As I sit here sending you this message I think of all the wonderful stories shared in my parents home; from lawn bowling, deer hunting and the adventures my Dad (Jim Horsburgh) and Bev shared over their many years of friendship. Bev and his stories will be missed by us. Keith and Marg Wettlaufer

To the Brown family, we extend our sincere sympathy. Thanks to Darrell for bringing your Dad to our place a year ago for a chance to visit, reminisce and look at old pictures. It was great to renew and review the Braun/Brown family history We know that he enjoyed life to the fullest. You were blessed to have him with you for as long as you did.

When Bev married our cousin, Marlene, he became an integral member of the Pletsch family also. He was the go-to guy for so many of us and was always willing to share his vast knowledge and valued suggestions. His charm, wit, and musical abilities fascinated us all. He will be missed!
