Judith Rae “Judy” Hilgartner

HILGARTNER, Judith Rae “Judy” – Passed away peacefully, at Louise Marshall Hospital on Friday, December 29, 2023 in her 71st year. Beloved wife for 47 years to James “Jim” Hilgartner. Loving mother of David & Shannon Hilgartner, Michael & Lindsay Hilgartner, Jeffery & Barb Hilgartner, and Daniel & Laura Hilgartner. Grandmother of Addison, Andrew, Elsie and Hardin. Sister of Margaret Collard (late Rex), Linda Pitcher (late Doug), Elizabeth (Tom) Seaver, sister-in-law of Sharon (Bill) Hilgartner, Kevin (Kim) Hilgartner and Thressa Hilgartner. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Ray Clark, brother-in-law Brian Hilgartner, and her mother-in-law Kay Hilgartner.

Judy enjoyed her many years of volunteering, whether it was with the U.C.W., the Red Hat Society, or volunteering with the V.O.N., where she and Jim would deliver Meals on Wheels together. But above everything, she loved her family, and loved being a mother and grandmother.

Visitation will be held at the Mount Forest United Church, 175 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 from 12:00 – 1:45 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Following the funeral service, all are invited to the church hall for refreshments and fellowship. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Judy are asked to consider Cancer Patient Services. Arrangements entrusted to England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
