Blanche Hawkrigg

Blanche Marie Hawkrigg (nee Hamilton), of Mount Forest, passed away at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Saturday, December 15^th, 2018 in her 84^th year. Beloved wife of the late Bob Hawkrigg. Loving mother of Scott Hawkrigg and his wife Debbie, Ron Hawkrigg and his wife Nancy, Doug Hawkrigg and his wife Brenda, and Mari-Lea Johnston and her husband Mike. Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.  Dear sister of Ron Hamilton and his wife Karen, Iona Bird, Tom Hamilton and his wife Jane, and sister-in-law of Anne Courts and Helen Hawkrigg. Predeceased by brother Larry Hamilton and his wife Claire, brothers-in law Al Bird, John Courts, Bill Hawkrigg and sister-in-law Marjorie Tangredi.  Friends may call at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Tuesday, December 18^th from 7 – 9  p.m.  A funeral service celebrating Blanche’s life will be held at Mount Forest United Church, 175 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with visitation at the church prior to the service from 1 – 1:45 p.m. Cremation to follow. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Patient Services would be appreciated by the family.
