Robert Joseph Manion, of Mount Forest passed away at Saugeen Valley Nursing Centre, on Tuesday, October 30th, 2018, in his 88th year.  Beloved husband of Kathleen Manion (nee Ferrier) for 63 years.  Loving father of Carol Woods and her husband Roger, Brian Manion, and Paul Manion and his wife Joyce.  Cherished grandfather of Jason Woods and his wife Jennifer, Jaimie Woods, Kyle Manion, Nicole Manion, Marcy Manion, Melanie Hoerdt and her husband Aaron, Amanda Machan and Tom Eckenswiller. Great-grandfather of Maclean Woods and Vida Hoert. Dear brother of Isla Johnson and Gladys North.  Predeceased by siblings Shirley Saunders and her late husband Herb, Evelyn Manion, and brothers-in-law Bill Johnson and Ken North. A memorial reception celebrating Robert’s life will be held in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church, 116 Fergus Street North, Mount Forest, on Saturday, November 3rd from 2 – 4 p.m.  Cremation has taken place.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.

So sorry to hear of Mr. Manion's passing. (I can't call him 'Bob', as he was always 'Mr. Manion' to me.) My Dad and he had many years together; working, skidooing, (we didn't call it 'sledding' back then), or visiting in the garage. Many of the world's problems were solved either at the BP or in our backyard garage, I'm sure. I look back, and will remember him fondly. - Wanda
