Vessie, Alex; at his home in Clifford on Friday October 26, 2007. Alexander Vessie in his 88th year. Alex enjoyed the outdoors, sending summer months at his trailer at Ahmic lake Resort, Magnetawan. He was a veteran of WW II & served overseas for 3 years with the R.C.A.F. Beloved husband of the late Shirley A. (Ferris) Vessie whom he married on January 26, 1945 in Windsor, Ontario. Dear father of John and his wife Marilyn of London, Ontario and Janis and her partner Bill Fraser of Clifford. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jason Vessie, Jennifer Masse & husband Mike, Christopher, Justin and Sarah Quantz. Also remembered by sister Doreen Pearce of Kingsville, sister-in-law Peggy Wright of Ottawa and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents John and Annie Vessie, brother Andrew Vessie and sisters Beatrice Bodfield, Irene Stewart, Elizabeth Wiles and Adeline Parrish. Friends may call at the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday October 30th at 1:00p.m. Interment at Mount Forest Cemetery.
