Quinlan, Rev. Lawrence; passed away peacefully on Friday September 19th, 2014 surrounded by family, at the Marleigh Retirement Residence in Unionville at the age of 82. Reverend Lawrence James Quinlan, born in Kenilworth, Ontario. Devoted and dearly loved son of the late Russel & Johannah (Hummel) Quinlan. Survived by his four sisters; Mary (late John) Bolen of Toronto, Agnes (late Joe) Koebel of Elmira, Clare (Jack) Stack of Hamilton, and Pauline (late Larry) MacDonald of Unionville. Predeceased by his three brothers; Michael (late Margaret), Leonard (late Edna), and Bernard (Doreen McGinn of Oakville). He was a much loved uncle to many nieces and nephews. For 25 years, he faithfully served as a Diocesan priest for the Diocese of Hamilton in Brantford, Hamilton, Kitchener, Dundalk, and Mildmay. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church, Kenilworth on Monday, September 22nd at 12 noon, with visitation in the church from 10:00am until the time of the Mass. Interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Kenilworth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, Kenilworth. My sincere sympathy on Larry's death. We were roommates at St. Augustine's Seminary from 1949-50. He was a sympathetic, friendly and supportive friend who along with the rest of us thoroughly enjoyed a pipe full of tobacco.
