Gladys and the Coates Family, I am so truly saddened to hear about the passing of Les. He was a wonderful, dear man and I am so grateful that i had the chance to meet him. Even though we hadn't talked in a number of years, i often thought of him and memories of our chats always brought a smile to my face. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

A smile, a joke, a thumbs up, a mischievous glint in his eye, and a story for everyone. And the Facebook poke wars. Let's not forget those. "Uncle" Les to everyone, he was a family icon. The world's a little darker, our hearts are a little heavier today - but our lives are so much richer for having known him. Much love to Uncle Les and the family. Please accept our deepest condolences.

Tear drops run down our face While our loved one takes his place In the land of dreams and faith Uncle Les waits for the day when life will wake The sun will rise and the clouds will clear The brightest star will show he is near We'll feel his strength when a new day is here And his heart when it's too hard to bare The honest voice and generous spirit His love is there whenever we need it All we have to do is believe it Uncle Les may be gone but that doesn't change The way he makes us feel everyday When the wind blows by and the trees shake We hear every word he makes No matter where we go Uncle Les will be there Always willing to show he cares He's sitting on his cloud above Watching all of those he loves My deepest condolences to all the family and friends of Leslie Coates
