Ken Orr
Kenneth William Orr, of Mount Forest, passed away at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, on Thursday, January 16th, 2020 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Christine Orr (nee Hrycajczuk). Loving father of Sherry and her husband Shawn Leibold, Allan Orr and his wife Bernadette and Andrew Orr. Cherished grandfather of Connor and Paige Leibold and Grayson, Preston and Kennedy Orr. Dear son of Doreen and the late Bill Orr and brother of Kathryn Orr. Predeceased by parents-in-law Antonia and Stanley Hrycajczuk and brother-in-law Albert Boley. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Ken’s life will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest on Saturday, January 25th at 12 p.m., with visitation being held prior to the service from 10 – 11:45 a.m.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or Cancer Patient Services would be appreciated by the family.

I worked at The Marsland building on Erb Street when Mr. Orr was there in the early 1990's. I had next-to-no skills of any kind, but Ken still found work for me to do at the various properties he oversaw. I found Ken to be an incredibly focused and straight-forward thinker. You always knew where you stood with him and he had some interesting stories from his earlier days in construction. I am deeply saddened I didn't get another chance to say hello to this brilliant man one last time.

I will forever be thankful for your guidance and strength of character. Rest in peace, Mr. Orr.
