Condolences
Cynthia, Please except my apologies, I recently met up with a pervious co-worker from RWT from when I use to work there. Who had shared this tragic news with me when I asked how you had been. I was in shock and disbelief Cynthia. I certainly can not imagine what you and your family have been through. I acually had to look this up as I was certain it couldn't be true. I am so truely sorry and embarrassed to find out now. I was honored to have the opportunity to work with you for many many years at RWT but lost touch with so many after my injury. I can only imagine what life has been like since losing Dane. I do hope tho with pictures, stories, beautiful memories happy, or sad help on those horrendous days to bring him closer and perhaps ease the heart. Please know Cynthia my thoughts are certainly about you and your family. My heart felt Condolences to the Stevens family.
— Starr Wood, November 27, 2022(I apologize for being so late writing this, it took me a while to figure out what to say and how to say it.) I knew Dane for the last four years and considered him a friend. When I first moved out here a few years back and got my current job, he was the first person there to reach out and befriend me. As a not particularly social person, I really appreciated him putting in the effort to do that. We hung out a number of times after that and it always a blast, and we kept in touch even after he found employment elsewhere. He always encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and try new things without being pushy or obnoxious about it. He listened and was patient. He wasn't perfect (but then, no one is), but he always worked to improve himself and kept fighting. He was a good friend and a good man, and it's a shame he's gone.

Mark and I have known you both a long time, remembering you from High school to your time of living in Markdale. Plus all the years that you and I have worked together at Rockwood Terrace. Many the parties and golf tournaments we shared together as staff and their families. Raising our kids and knowing what each family was doing as we shared a lot of times while working together. Remembering the ones we have lost, is one way of dealing with the pain each minute of each day is one way to move forward.
