Before my retirement, I was a teacher at Victoria Cross Public School where I watched Howard embrace his classroom and the various activities we had to foster a relationship between our students and our veterans. He has had a positive influence on many youngsters and helped them to appreciate the peace we all enjoy. He will be missed.

Since we dedicated the public school to our Veterans in 2005, Mr. Leafloor rarely turned down an invitation to visit the children of VCPS. He and Mrs. Leafloor spent time with the children, answered their questions, and shared experiences. Mr. Leafloor had a wonderful way with the children and definitely had a positive impact on our students. He will be missed.
