Colin, Ellen and family I am saddened to hear about the sudden passing of your Dad. I saw him not so very long ago during a visit to see my parents. We had quite a delightful chat and while he was missing your Mom a great deal, he talked about the good things that he could still enjoy, particularly time spent with his grandchildren. Jack truly made an impact on the town of Mount Forest and he will be findly remembered by all those who whose path he crossed. He was always ready with a smile and no matter what, he always had time to say hello. Colin, I have great memories of hanging out at your house and the hospitality that your folks offered. My heart is heavy for you but I know that your Dad and Mom will forever be watching over the Johnson family. Fondest regards Becky

To the Johnson family: Many, many years ago, when my parents had a farm near Farewell and us kids went to high school in town, I knew Jack Johnson when he ran the clothing store. Later on, after high school, I also met Mr. Johnson several times at political gatherings. He was a great M.P.P. for the area and a sincere man. My condolences. Richard Haalboom.

The Johnson Family: I wish to express my condolences on your Father's passing. Jack and I served in the Legislature for many years and they were truly enjoyable. I recall/remember visiting with Jack his area of the Province when I had the opportunity to be a Minister of the Govt. and they were for me so rewarding. What a great Member who had the greatest patients/disposition.

Paul; My condolences on the passing of your father. I knew him slightly when he was MPP years ago, and always felt he was trying to do the best he could for his constituents. I know that you will miss him, and I see a little bit of him in the twinkle in your eyes from time to time. It is always difficult to lose a parent, they're supposed to be immortal, but he will live on in our memories. Rod and Kersti

Iam sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I met him once at the Legislature in Toronto, but remember my parents often speaking about him.. My dad was Henry Mclellan and mom Marion McLellan. Jack accomplished many things in his lifetime that he and his family should be proud of. He was a fine member of the parliament, a kind and gracious gentleman. He will be missed.

— Marian Mclellan, June 27, 2009

We were saddened to here of Jacks passing. I remeber my father having dealings with Jack when he had the store and later when he was the mayor and our MPP. He said he was a very fair and honest man who always went that extra mile to help you out. I got to know Jack in 1990 when I joined the Lions club. He will be missed by all who knew him.

— Bill & Diane Dineen, June 26, 2009

We worked with Jack many times while he was a member of parliament and appreciated his knowledge, time and passion. Our Deepest Sympathies! Ron & Mary Ellen
