Howells, Iris; at the Dufferin Oaks Nursing Home, Shelburne on Thursday October 23, 2008. Joan Iris (Yake) Howells of RR #2, Conn in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Glen Howells. Loved mother of Jane Reimer & husband Al of Burnaby, B.C., Bill Howells & wife Betty of Fort St. John, B.C. and Stewart Howells & wife Shelly of RR #2, Conn. Loving grandmother of Kelsey, Peter, Michael, Shane, Matthew and Mitchell. Dear sister of Hugh Yake & wife Edna of Sherwood Park, Alberta, Harold Yake & wife Marion of RR #2, Mount Forest and Susan Rice & husband Kevin of RR #2, Conn. Predeceased by brothers Albert Yake and Fred Yake and sister Isabel Yake. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday October 27th at 11:00a.m. Reception to follow at the Mount Forest United Church. Interment at Walker Cemetery, Proton Township on Monday at 2:00p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer 's Society would be appreciated by the family. Glen and your family...you have my sympathy in the passing of Iris. I will always remember her as a health nurse, coming into our home on the farm when our babies were born. And I will never forget the bowling on the Thursday nights. She was such a good sport. She will be missed.Take care of one another in the days to come.
