I was truly sorry to hear of Doug's passing and I wish I could have been at the service. Doug was a one of a kind man and even though I haven't seen Doug in 3 years I still talk about him to my friends. He was the only man I knew that would help you without question. He had a laugh that I will never forget and I am truly blessed by having met him. I was lucky to have him as my neighbour in Southgate and he pulled me out of my driveway many times in the winter. I will always remember Doug...there will never be another man like him. RIP Doug...I will always be grateful for all that you did for me. Sandi Ennest

Thinking of Doug, the first experience I remember was when he came over to trim the hooves on my horses. The horses were okay to do. But when it came time for the pony.... the battle was on. Three feet done finally... flip the pony on its back, hold his head still. Go to it Doug. Well Jimmy the angle is all wrong! After 10 minutes, the pony is up and Doug say " well thats one for the history books". You'll be missed Doug.

To the family of Doug Gillies......I was so shocked to hear of Doug's passing. He was a fun guy to be around, and never a dull moment, especially when he played darts, which he was missed in the last couple of years that he missed playing. You all have my sympathy, and do take care of one another in the days to come.
