Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Aileen's family at this time of great loss. We helped Aileen sell her home in Guelph a few years ago, and became friends in the process! We were privileged to attend her 90th birthday party nearly 2 years ago. Even though we only got to know her later in her life, we were inspired by her lovely spirit and amazing life stories. She will continue to inspire us as we remember her indomitable spirit and zest for life.

To Mrs. Carmount's family, You may remember me working on your parent's farm in St.George in the summer of 1969 as a teenager. I am a cousin of Hedy and George Dawson and I was from Dundas. I have always thought very highly of your parents and appreciated the kindness shown to me as a teenager "living the farm life" on your farm. I remember your Mother's great cooking, the huge garden and your Grandma B picking the strawberries!! Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of a great lady...Bill Wilson, Kincardine

Sincere condolences to the children and grandchildren of Aileen, she will be remembered as always having a smile and for the hospitality she showed to us when we used to come to the farm.

my deepest sympathy to aunt aileen's surviving children. Bob, Ken,and Gary. one of my most unforgetable memories of aunt aileen is when we would visit the farm with mother and dad. the great meals she would cook, but above all was her strawberry preserves. (WOW were they great). and boy could she make coleslaw. when ev and i were in canada for a visit in 1993 ken and joan picked us up in toronto, we did some sight seeing and ended up at aunt aileen's house for the evening. Well of course she had a big meal ready for all of us, and a whole big bowl of coleslaw just for me.(how great eh!) love to all who new her and god bless aunt aileen.....Alex and Ev P.S. i would guess the three girls are now playing cards, and looking around for aomeone to take thier picture.
