Calvin 'Sonny' Calhoun

My condolences Gayle and family on Sonny's passing. Gayle, you may not remember me but I'm Alice and Sydney's daughter, Kim. Sonny was my Mom's boss (manager) at Elk's Men's and Boy's Wear in Rexdale Plaza ~ late 60's. Mom was very fond of Sonny and of you too after she met you. Sonny and Mom loved to share jokes and laughs together. Although I was young, I remember being at your house for dinner a few times and you, my Dad and I enjoyed Mom and Sonny recounting another story of something funny that had happened at the store. Over the years I have thought of Sonny many times--he had a personality you don't easily forget...and a name you don't easily forget!! As I was reading our local Wellington Advertiser paper today, I was very surprised when I saw Sonny's name and wasn't sure it was him until I read your name and i recall you had a daughter Debbie. I hope family, friends and good memories will give you strength at this very sad time. Kim
