Joan Abbott
Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Sunday May 15th, 2016. Joan Mabel Abbott of Mount Forest, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of Bev Abbott. Loving mother of Paul and wife Michelle of Ottawa, Doug and wife Ann of Peterborough, Carl and wife Wendy of Mount Forest, Noel and wife Michelle of Toronto, Bevy Huffman and husband Scott of Listowel and Glen Abbott of Fergus. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brothers Eddie Caskenette of Edmonton and Wilfred Caskenette of Mimico. Predeceased by her parents Wilfred and Vera Caskenette, her siblings Eileen, Shirley, Ronnie, Margarite and Robert. Friends may call at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Mount Forest on Wednesday, May 18th from 7– 9 p.m. and at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Mount Forest on Thursday, May 19th from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Mount Forest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
