Dear Brian: I was totally shocked to read of Andrea's death in the paper. We had many conversations on facebook and in the line-ups at No Frills. We always said we would get together, at your trailer, but with COVID, we never did. Please take care of yourself.

Dear Brian, Mum and Dad McKay and G, G & G….. Iwe are all so very sorry for your loss. Andrea and I met in 1982 in grade 9. I had just immigrated from Scotland and didn’t really know anyone. Andrea came up to me at a school dance and we immediately clicked. So, for the past 39 years, we have been best friends. As neither one of us had a sister, we became each other’s. We had so many great times, wonderful memories too numerous to mention. So many sleepovers at her home…. a pair of teenage girls dancing to ‘80’s music, including Madonna. I do recall her wearing her black leather jacket with the fringes down the inside of each arm. The song called”You spin me right round” was playing, and at that verse, she’d spin herself around, with the fringes flapping!! That was so funny!! Years later, my youngest daughter, Rachel had me hunt down a CD with this particular song on it, and she’d dance to it. I told her the story of Andrea. When Rachel was in her late teens, she went to stay with Andrea and Brian for a few days, and they became very close.. I asked Andrea if she’d be Godmother to both my girls, and she accepted saying she was honoured. In actuality, it was myself and the girls who were honoured.

Andrea… Rest In Peace In Paradise my love. This is not goodbye, but rather, until we meet again. We are all truly devastated and heartbroken. The day you passed, a piece of me died also. You were the best friend anyone could ever have, and I am so lucky and privileged that you chose me to be yours. You shall never be replaced. I love you darlin’…, to infinity and beyond!!
