So sorry to hear about Barb's passing. We were childhood friends for many years in Port Credit. She was a gifted student and a talented seamstress. We had lots of fun in summers and at regattas with the Mississauga Canoe Club. She met the love of her life, Spuds ... so happy for the 2 of you and your family. It was fun to see some of her posts on the Growing Up in Port Credit Facebook site. Terrific memories for sure!!! Will miss you, Marg (nee Hare) Barnstaple.

Dear Zio Guido, Amanda, Remy and Damon.
I am truly sorry to hear that Zia Barb has passed away.
Both you and Zia Barb have been like second parents for me.
I have very fond memories of the special time in my life when you're family shared your home with me.
I learned many life lessons from my time with you and Zia Barb and for this I will always be grateful.
Zia Barb has always held a special spot in my heart, she was a strong, kind and intelligent woman and I'm thankful to have had her in my life.
Sending you all hugs in your time of grief.
Love you all

Dear Guido and family,
So very sad and shocked to hear of Barb's passing. Although it's been a long time since we've seen each other, I've often thought of the extended 'Block' clan, especially when I was living in B.C.
Many fond memories of Barb spring to mind, Barb babysitting me when I was around 4, visiting at Uncle Ty and Aunt Betty's and getting to read Barb's comic books, watching her compete in highland dancing at Clarke Hall, and especially yours and Barb's wedding. I also remember some public school teachers admiring Barb and telling me I was lucky to have such a good cousin.
And I was so happy to reconnect with Barb on Facebook during the last almost 2 years.
Sincerest condolences.

— Beverley Bryck (Block), January 17, 2022

Dear Spuds, Amanda, Remy and Damon and families,
We are so very saddened over the loss of Barb and it definitely brings a void to my heart. We were fortunate enough to have enjoyed spending a few family gatherings together with you both at the Block parties, always so much fun and laughter and I can still hear Barb's laugh. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

Dear Guido and family. We are very sorry to hear of Barbara's sudden passing. Although it has been so many, many years that we have seen your family, we have often thought of both of you.

What comes to mind, is the time during the Mississauga derailment that you, Barb, three kids and a couple of dogs came to stay with us along with another couple who also had two kids and a dog and, as well, our own. It was quite a menagerie of kids, adults and animals but we all made the best of it. It's unfortunate that we all go our separate ways and only hear or meet under these sad circumstances. Our sincere and deepest sympathies to you and all your family.

— Philip and Lorraine Coombs, January 16, 2022

Dear Guido,
Our deepest condolences and love to you and your family.
Barb will be missed as a part of our Boler MinnieWinnie family. We enjoyed the many stories she told around the campfires.
She will be missed by many.

— Barb Hagey, January 15, 2022

To the Gardin family: Very sorry for your loss. My daughter Lexi and I were very fortunate to spend many, many nights trailering with Barb and Guido in various parts of Ontario and Manitoba. Guido was the first person to assist me in setting up my 'new to me' boler a few years back, while Barb listened patiently to my Daughter's life stories. I can visualize her reading her novel, while sitting calmly in her trailer at the Red River Exhibition Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A very adventurous, fun loving Woman and a mentor to me. She will be missed.

— Mark and Lexi Chevrette, January 15, 2022

I play cards with Guido, at the Mount Forest Seniors Group. During the last 21 months, of no cards, I phoned Guido once a month.
Mostly I talked to Barb. She was a lovely person to talk to on the phone.
Her family will miss her. Rest in Peace Barb
