Evelyn Marie MacQuarrie

MacQUARRIE, Evelyn Marie (née Atchison) – A long-time resident of Mount Forest, passed away at Strathcona Long Term Care on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husband, of over 48 years, Donald Douglas MacQuarrie (1995); their three children: William (1976), Neil (1956) and Margaret (1989); grandson Johnathan (2016) and great-granddaughter Evelyn Grace (2019); her five brothers: Harold, Lawrence, Jack, Mervyn and Robert Atchison; and their parents William Stern Atchison and Margaret Ann (née Lawrence); and her beloved in-laws. 

Evelyn is survived by her children and their spouses: Donna (Glen) Krueger, Annabelle (Mike) Kelly, Norman (Veronika) MacQuarrie and daughter-in-law Dora (née Burtch); sister-in-law Anna Marie Atchison, nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, as well as many nieces and nephews. Evelyn will be missed by her many friends, in and around Mount Forest and deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family. 

The family would like to thank Strathcona Long Term Care for the excellent care and attention that Evelyn received during her time there. 

A private graveside service will be held at Mount Forest Cemetery at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in Evelyn’s memory are asked to consider a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
