McLELLAN, Ruth Elizabeth (née Reeves) – Passed away peacefully at her residence in Mount Forest on Thursday, March 31, 2022 in her 80th year. Cherished Mom of Scott Pollard (Suz), Norm McLellan (Sandy), Karl McLellan, Anna-Marie Braunstein (Rich), and Angela Eccles (Dale). Loving Grandma of Ryan, Kristi, Josh, Luke, Matthew, Araya, Jordan, Tricia, Maryssa and Natalie. Dear great-grandmother of several great-grandchildren. Survived by siblings: Mary, Doug, Rose (David), Pat (Bill) and Donna (Larry); as well as in-laws: Roy, Bill, Marion, Bev, Barbara and George. Remembered by Bob and Dora, Tammy and Todd and their families along with many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by her beloved son Tom (2022), daughter-in-law Jana, parents Albert and Ruby Reeves, parents-in-law Ian and Ella McLellan, siblings and in-laws: Norm (Elva), Ella, Ab, Harold “Toad”, Josie, Rene (Jerry), Art, Ronnie, Louise, Bob, Kaye and Joan.

Ruth was a hard worker and loved even harder. Her passions included watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports and her beloved Toronto Blue Jays. She cherished her family and time spent together – family reunions, birthday parties, Christmas Concerts and family dinners. Her parting has left an incredible void, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family. 

Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest, on Monday, April 4, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. A private celebration of life service will be held. Her smile was huge and her infectious laughter was contagious. Her love for her family was enormous, if you weren’t family, she treated you as if you were. I took my kindergarten class down to her house to go Christmas Carolling, she taught our class what tears of joy looked like, as we left her in tears from receiving this special visit from us. Ruthie was one of a kind and will be missed by all! RIP Ruthie

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Ruth. We have such great memories of her being across the street from us in Holstein along with some good laughs. She will be missed by so many friends and family. Our condolences to everyone. RIP Ruth.
