Dear Marg and family
I am deeply sorry to hear of Lorne's passing. I did meet up with the 2 of you I believe in the restaurant not too long ago and had a brief visit. We enjoyed our time when you lived in the neighbourhood on King st Harriston. How often we take those brief meetings so for granted. Hope that Lorne didn't suffer too long.
My deepest sympathy to you and family. Marg, take care of yourself and hope we can have a visit in the not too distant, future.
The cousins are getting fewer.
Blessings
Marj Douglas and on behalf of the Behrns family.

Dear Marg and Family,
So sorry to hear of Lorne's passing. My deepest sympathy goes out to everyone at this time of loss. I know what an empty place it leaves in one's heart and in the family.
I only met Lorne a few times but he was very often in our many conversations that you and I had, Marg.
I must confess that as I read Randy Bye's obituary I was much impressed with what a fine man Lorne had been.
I know that you all were very proud of him.
May Lorne rest in peace now that all of his suffering is over.

Mrs. Dally, Karen, Doug and Dave:

I was saddened to hear of Lorne’s passing and send my condolences to you at this time.
Lorne was instrumental in the success of the ready mix industry in Mount Forest.
He was a very talented driver who knew how to get enough chutes on or enough speed on to get the concrete where it had to go.
The days before cell phones and concrete pumps made it so there had to be a lot of trust between the batcher, the drivers and the contractors.
Earl, Lorne D., Lorne M., Harvey, Brian, Johnny and others made it happen in the 70’s and 80’s and 90’s.
We are now in the ready mix industry as well with a mixer named after each of the 6 , 4 now deceased.
We teach new drivers the tricks Lorne and his fellow drivers taught us.
Greasy, frozen, slippery, sandy, punky.... whichever.... they had a remedy to get ground traction and keep things moving, and always it was a remedy whose ingredients were either in their trucks or laying on the jobsite.
Lorne’s smile was always just a friendly acknowledgement away with an emerging chuckle in close pursuit.
I never saw Lorne mad but I heard stories of what happened when people disrespected him.
He was a loyal family man, a dedicated contributor to the ready mix industry and a proud Canadian who helped build Mount Forest and the surrounding area.
A life well lived Lorne.

Sincerely
Randy Bye
