I met Dorothy at lap swim about 12
years ago. She was amazing swimming her 36 laps in 36 minutes! She was the picture of grace and kindness, and sparkled in everything she did.

Dorothy (Mrs. Brown) was my absolute hero. As a young girl I was lucky enough to spend time with her in her church choir and as a friend of her granddaughter Nicole . I have so many special memories of her she allowed us to sing a Heart (the rock band) song in church and made the church hymns special. I remember how excited I was when we would sing “the lights of Hannakuh”, her heals tapping behind the organ as she directed us . When I was older I was so blessed to have her as a neighbour . I never saw Dorothy without her heels on, her hair done and a smile and a mission in tow . My life was touched by Mrs.Brown I am at peace knowing she is at peace with the love of her life Mr. Wilson Brown by her side once again . May you sing with the angels and show them how to play just a little better . All my love to the Brown and Andrew’s family .

I have so many treasured memories of Dorothy: as my singing teacher in grades 7 & 8 (she was so talented and kind), music theory lessons at the house, piano lessons for my 3 children that I was invited to attend, organizing the church photo shoots... We will miss her. Our sincere condolences to the family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Brown Family. Prior to covid, Dorothy was an amazing volunteer at St Mary Catholic School. She was always full of class, dressed to the 9’s with high heels and lipstick on to come read with some of our students. One day a young boy was leaving the classroom to go read with Dorothy, he asked her “how old are you”, she responded proudly that her 90th birthday was coming up soon. The young boy responded “wow thats old but you’re still pretty”. Dorothy and I had a good laugh!!! RIP Dorothy, you will be missed.
