Dear Rodney, Shawn, Shirley, John & Sylvie, Melanie & John, Bradley and all of Etta's much-loved grandchildren, greats, family and friends. We are sending our most sincere sympathy at this sad time.
We treasure our memories of Etta as a kind, generous, loyal friend, with so much love in her heart for her family, friends and faith. She enjoyed and savoured every day and lived her life with dignity and grace.
Etta and Don were steadfast friends to our late parents, James and Josephine Feairs of Cedarville and to everyone in our family.
Her true gift in life was to make those around her feel as if they were the most important, interesting person on earth.
Our lives are richer for having known her. We'll miss her forever.
From all of the Feairs family: Joanie & David Wishnevski, Elizabeth & Bill Wallace, Ray Owens, all of Vancouver, B.C.; Eleanor (Ellie) & Robert Mueller, Cambridge; Ruthie Feairs, Mount Forest; Jim & Fran Feairs, Peterborough.

When we moved to Cedarville, over 35 years ago, Ethel & her late husband Don were the first people to welcome us as new neighbours. Over the decades Ethel became a wonderful friend, always checking in to make sure both on us were safe & healthy, leaving unexpected gift-baskets of flowers & veggies at our front door, and ever-ready to help Michelle with advice & guidance for her garden. Invitations to lunch or afternoon teas became a big part of our lives; visits with such a deeply-caring friend who became like a second-mother to both of us as she helped turn Cedarville into our HOME.
For us - Ethel WAS Cedarville, and we can’t begin to express the terrible loss we feel at her passing.
So sleep well, dear friend and please know you will NEVER be forgotten.
With love,
Michelle Goodeve & Glenn Norman
