COPLAND, Robert "Bob" - Peacefully and with family by his side at Caressant Care Harriston on Monday, January 30, 2023 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Anna Copland (2019). Loving father of Riley Copland and his wife Colleen of Mount Forest. Cherished grandfather of Gavin, Piper and Chloe Copland. Dear brother of Kathleen Coutts (Mike), Janet Hammer (late Tom), Doug Copland, Charlie Copland (Marjorie), Anna Marie Ellis (Murray), and Wayne Copland (Susan); and brother-in-law of Millie Wright (Barry), Hilda Shields (late Ron), Peter McBride (Helen), and Linda Albert (late Mike). Bob will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sister-in-law Mary McBride.
Bob had two loves in his life – his family and farming. He farmed goats for many years, and was very sad to let them go. Bob’s memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his family.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Bob's life will be held at the Mount Forest United Church, 175 Queen Street East, Mount Forest, on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Spring interment of cremated remains at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider Cancer Patient Services. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
Condolences
I'm sorry to miss the funeral of my friend today, but I didn't want to spread "the bugs".
Bob and I go way back to when he was courting the love of his life, and we would meet at the McBride house as I was visiting my close friend Peter.
Bob had that special character of a true gentleman with a good handshake, and I will remember him.

I used to chat with him some Sundays at Tim Horton's as he had a coffee before heading to his farm. He will be missed by all the people he met over the years.
