Our deepest sympathies to you Susan, your family and the entire Rice family. We remember seeing Kevin and Susan years ago at the annual Tractor Elimination Draw in Seaforth. Even though neither of us ever won, it was nice to see them there. And certainly we have met the entire Rice family at different functions over the years. It was very evident that Kevin grew up in a very close and loving family and they will now support you Susan and your family. Sending strength and hugs for the days ahead.♥️🙏

We are all very sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing . Kevin was such a kind , happy , hardworking man and was a fantastic co-worker of dads for many years . I remember the smiles on his and dads faces when we were Christmas tree hunting. They had the love for their children and nature in common as well as extremely strong work ethic and customer relations . . Your home was a warm and welcoming one and I will cherish that memory . Kevin always had a smile and we will always remember his great hearted nature and he left a somewhat low key but yet remarkably positive impression on the room he walked into as I remember . Our love is sent to you all in the next coming weeks and onward . With love , The Reid’s

They don’t make them like Kevin anymore. I don’t know what it was but he always had a resilience to get things done - right. As I knew him he thought things out before he went through with anything. Always always genuine. He had a stubbornness about him that served him well. With him in heaven, a lot of deer are safe.

— Steve McCabe, June 28, 2023

Susan, Jeff and Pam, and to all of the Rice family,

My deepest condolences to Susan and all of the Rice family, as well as all of Kevin and Susan's friends.
My dad grew up on a farm in Proton Township not far from Kevin and they have remained friends all of these years. My dad valued his friendship with Kevin and loves to share stories of hunting trips and such. It saddens me to know he lost one of his last "best friends" whom he would talk too on the phone regularly. Kevin was a good man and I know he is already deeply missed.

Kindly,

To Susan and family…our neighbours and friends….I loved Kevin’s smile. Our bulls fought, when they ended up in same field..I was so young but still remember…Kevin and Dad just stood around talking…when I got upset, they both said, they will tire out before they hurt each other…..Kevin at our place with his dog…looking out at a field, and saying to his dog: “hog” and off went the dog for the groundhog….when I got my little Sprint car stuck and Dad asked Kevin to help get it out..he came, looked at the little car and laughed, and said “.he could just pick it up”. He was so nice, sweet, and will always remember he had tears in his eyes at my Dad’s funeral. Dad was so happy that Kevin and Susan’s son bought our farm….”it will stay in the family”. Susan, may all YOUR memories get you through this tough time..❤️

— Jacqui Pickett, June 28, 2023

Our condolences to the Rice family, especially Susan and Jeff. Kevin was a good man, and always there to help. We will miss Kevin's welcoming and warm words, and that brilliant smile which he gave to all who met him. Everytime we heard the song by Jason Blaine "They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore" we thought of Kevin. We are thinking of all of you in this time of grief. He lives on in Jeff and Pam, and the grandkids.
