Lorne Edward Bell

Bell, Lorne Edward - Passed away suddenly at his home, on Monday, September 4, 2023 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Bell (nėe Breedon) and dear devoted father of Garry Bell. Loving brother of Margaret Coop (Tony) and the late Muriel White (Ken). Lorne is predeceased by his parents Trueman and Edna Bell. Dear caring uncle of Paula and Tracy and fondly remembered by his many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to Lorne and Garry’s neighbors “Lisa & Jeff,“ for all their support and help over the past few months. To honour Lorne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.

Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lorne are asked to consider the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to England Funeral Home.

I have so many fond memories of my Uncle Lorne(Uncle Eddie). He was such a sweet, funny, caring, laid back farmer boy. We had many talks and laughs over the years and I will miss him terribly. He is with Auntie Barb and my mom now. Love you Uncle Lorne

Lorne was a reliable helper over the past several years at the Community Pantry. You could know that the cardboard would be neatly tied and delivered with the garbage to the curb. Lorne was a quiet person who could surprise you with a story or comment.

Lorne Bell was a gentle soul. You could tell that he doted on his late wife, Barb, by the way he never failed to chuckle at her jokes or quietly echo her more amusing remarks. There were no expectations or judgments in his presence; he just accepted you as you were. We would always watch the Calgary Flames games to see if we could catch a glimpse of his unmistakeable red hair out by the penalty box. Rest in peace, Uncle Woody. Deepest sympathies to his son, Garry.

My condolences to Lorne’s family and friends.
His quiet, efficient way at the Mt. Forest Community Pantry will certainly be missed.
