Vernon George McQueen

McQUEEN, Vernon George – Peacefully at Louise Marshall Hospital on Friday, December 22, 2023, in his 88th year. Cherished spouse of June Wagg (née Hackman) for 36 years. Dearly missed by his canine companion, Belle. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary McQueen; and siblings: Wilma Brooklyn (James), Ed McQueen (Jo), and John McQueen. Survived by his brother-in-law Gary Hackman (Tammy Reed); niece Lisa McQueen, and nephews: Darren McQueen, Mark McQueen, David Brooklyn, and Scott Brooklyn.

Vern worked in construction with McClelland Construction, and Mann Construction, but his first love was his family farm in Conn.

A private graveside service will be held at Mount Forest Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Vernon are asked to consider the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation or Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
