Barry Kenneth Ross

ROSS, Barry Kenneth

March 12, 1942 – March 26, 2024

Passed away at home after a long battle with illness at the age of 82. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Marion Ross (nee MacEachern). Adoring father of Brett Ross and his wife Stephanie. Barry will be greatly missed by his grandsons Roland Ross and Carson Ross, whom he was very proud of as they grew into young adults. Also survived by his sister Derlene Ferguson, brother John Ross and his wife Bonnie, and his sister Penny Ross. Remembered by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, loving cousins and dear friends.

Predeceased by his parents Alma and Ken Ross, in-laws Chris and Donald MacEachern, sister-in-law June Laferte, and brother-in-law Norm Ferguson.

Barry was a Tool & Die Maker by trade. He used this trade to build Edbar Tool & Die in Guelph, and in 1980 built a new factory in Fergus. It now has a new name, A & E Precision Machining Ltd. owned by his son Brett, and run by Brett’s wife Stephanie. He also bought and ran KBK Manufacturing in Breslau and later sold so he could retire and spend more time at his farm and home in Florida.

As per his wishes, a private family interment will take place at Holstein Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation, Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation or The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.

Dear Aunt Marion, Brett, Stephanie, Roland and Carson

So sad to hear about Uncle Barry.

One of my many memories was when Uncle Barry would pick me up at Mom & Dad's dock in his tin boat. After i jumped in he'd say "Don't worry Jill Dee, we have 2 oars if the motor breaks down."
I'll miss him but will always smile when I think of him.

Love Jill Dee Ferguson & Marcus

Dearest Aunt Marion, Brett & family,
Thinking of you all at this time, with deepest sympathy. Thinking of you all in the days to come and sending you all hugs.

My memory of my Uncle Barry is of him in his favorite chair smoking his pipe. His laugh and smile made me laugh and smile. He and Aunt Marion have always been very kind to me, and treated me like a daughter. I will forever keep that love, in my heart. Rest in peace Uncle Barry.
