Carrie Whetham

WHETHAM, Carrie - Peacefully at home on Sunday, June 22, 2025 in her 63rd year.

Beloved partner for 25 years of Mary-Jo King. Loving mother of Alexander Whetham (Ellie Barber). Carrie will be missed by her grandchildren Benjamin and Sophia, her parents George Whetham and the late Sandra. She will be sadly missed by her brother Ken Whetham, her sister Lisa Lewis (Gary), and by her nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Carrie enjoyed her 37 years working at the Canada Border Services Agency, in various roles over the years, but retired as an investigator. As was her retirement plan, she moved to Minto, where her family was from, enjoying the outdoors, and a quieter way of life.

A private Celebration of Life will be held. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Carrie are asked to consider a charity of your choice. Condolences and online donations available at www.englandfuneralhome.com

Condolences

Ken, Lisa, and the Whetham family:
I was deeply saddened to learn about Carrie's passing. Although we hadn't been in touch for a long time, I have very fond memories of the times we spent together at various sports events, and engaged in lengthy conversations. May you find some comfort in knowing that those of us who knew her share your sorrow. Thinking of you at this difficult time.

Dear MJ and Alex,

I was so sorry to hear about Carrie’s passing. Carrie was such a bright and beautiful presence—funny, thoughtful, and always genuinely kind. She brought warmth and laughter wherever she went, and it was truly a gift to have her as part of our family. I hope you both can find some comfort in knowing how deeply she was appreciated and how much she will be missed.

Thinking of you and sending all our love during this incredibly difficult time.

With love,
Vince, Bernadette, Jordyn and Chris Nyuli

M.J., George, Alexander, Ken, Lisa and Families;
So sorry to hear about Carrie. We spent a lot of time together as young friends to teen-agers from Minto- Clifford School to Harriston Senior to Norwell High.
Carrie was always so fun to hang out with and we had shared lots of shenanigans at their home in Harriston. Being a Country bumpkin Carrie showed me the ropes of big town living. LOL
As usual, you go your separate ways after high school but those memories and young friendships remain in our hearts forever.
Cherish the memories you all shared and hold her close to your hearts.
Heaven truly has another Angel.

So sad to hear that Carrie has passed. Sending my thoughts to MJ and Alex. Carrie was an awesome person! So many memories from the trailer park! We ran into eachother not long ago and discussed "getting together soon". Another example of how time is precious and limited, and how we really need to seize the opportunities in life. Say "hey" to Chris and Sydney for me 💜

Such sad news ~ I have so many very fond memories of the years Carrie and I were the best of friends and shared so much time and many adventures together. Carrie made those Sr Public and High School years so much more fun & exciting for me. I can only hope I reciprocated that sentiment back to her. As I type this, I feel sad for the way we grew apart as our lives took completely different directions. I am sorry that I didn't get a chance to meet her partner, Mary-Jo or her son, Alexander but know that you both must be quite special if you were held tight in Carrie's heart! Thinking of you all as you work through the grief. There's just no way to prepare for the loss so embrace the memories and remember she's now always with you, right there on the other side of the veil. I expect she'll be sending you signs of her nearness ~ all you have to do is believe. Sending my love to all of those left with that emptiness in your heart at Carrie's untimely passing. She's been called back home & is once again, safe and well! Love, Jackie Campbell (Holtom)
