Condolences
We remember Jim coming to school with both arms in casts.
A wringer washer was the culprit!
Our sympathies to the entire family
I was sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a great mentor to me and many at Looby (among other companies) throughout his career. He was dedicated to his career and loved what he did. If you were willing to listen, Jim was willing to teach. He had a dry sense of humour by saying things like “don’t be afraid to hit the nail” as he casually walking by a worker trying to hammer a nail from a difficult position. I know he was proud of his two daughters and being on the road his whole life was “just the cost of doing business”. He was very knowledgeable and was always ready to tackle any difficult task. He will be missed.
— Jon Vallieres, July 25, 2025We are so saddened to hear of Jim's passing. Trent and I worked on many jobs with Jim while at Arnott Construction. We cherished his friendship and learned from his talent, skills and hard work. He was a very smart, dedicated hard worker. Jim has contributed to many difficult jobs in Ontario. A true master mind. A very great loss to our construction world.
Sincerely, George and Trent Coleman
