September 27, 2025

LESLIE, Russell George – Suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Saturday, September 27, 2025 in his 71st year. Russell will be missed by his beloved wife of 37 years Janice Leslie (Atkinson). Loving father of Nathan Leslie and his wife Lauren and Justin Leslie and his wife Ashley. He will be missed by his grandchildren Noah Leslie and Dustin Wilson. He is survived by his siblings Douglas Leslie (Bridget), John Leslie (Rhonda), Brenda Richardson (Bryce), late Dave Leslie (Cheryl), Barry Leslie (Tammy), Elaine Landoni (late Brad), Anne Dobbie (Larry), late Marilyn Hall (Mark), and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Russell could fix anything. He was a licensed machinist and millwright and could often be found in the shop fixing something for his family, friends, or sharing his knowledge with his boys. He enjoyed many years at the Silent Valley Trailer Park and will be sadly missed by all his friends.
Visitation will be held at England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Russell are asked to consider the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario. One thinks of the word SPECIAL when one thinks of Russ. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Son and of course Friend Russ nailed it in all these categories of life. I remember Russ and Janice stopping into my shoe store to announce to me that they were going to be our new neighbors on Forfar St. in Fergus. I was so excited to hear this news and I thought what a nice gesture this was. This was a common theme of Russ's life kind gestures for others. So proud to have called him my Special Friend. My condolences to you Janice, Nathan, Justin, their wives and the grandchildren. I will never forget Russ and the life well lived.
