Condolences

Bob I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. It is always a bit sadder for a love one passing so close to Christmas. My thoughts will be with you and your family

— Gloria, December 1, 2025

Jody, Bob & Families,

Our deepest sympathies to you all in the passing of your mom/grandma. We have many great memories of a wonderful friend to our family for many years. I know that mom and her will be catching up with all the laughter that made them such great friends. Dad and her are together again, I do know how much she missed him too.

Memories I will cherish forever of a beautiful lady, a heart of gold and a laugh no one could match - her kindness to all of us will never be forgotten!

RIP dear Kathy, you will be forever in our hearts!

(thanks Jody it means so much that you reached out to let me know)

My cousin Kathy was a very sweet woman who had to feed you every visit, without fail. Her mom Aunt Vi also did the same. My condolences to the Hendry family and also to Barb, Den and Ken. On my visits to Kathy in Clifford we discussed the family history and Kathy passed me pictures that she couldn't identify, mostly of the Troyer family. Her birthday is coming up on Dec. 27 when she would have been 87. I promised her Chinese food. We had such good fun at the Troyer reunions and she was such a breath of fresh air...I'll miss her belly laugh and teasing.

Hendry Family,
It is with great sadness that we send you this note. Kathy was a cornerstone in your lives, and all the lives she touched. The first time we ever met her was following the boys grade 8 graduation. She invited us back to her house to celebrate with Bob, Karen and Brandon. She did not stop putting food and beverage out for us until the fridge was empty! Our first time there, and we felt comfortable and welcome in her home, and her life. We will always remember her humor and straightforward nature. She would not want tears shed, but memories to hold and to laugh at as you move past these tough days. Thank you Hendry's for introducing us to this great lady, her memory will always bring us comfort, friendship and laughter. Hugs to you all.

— Helen Bible, November 20, 2025

Thank you again, Bob, for answering my call yesterday. Please extend my condolences to Jody and all your family on my behalf.
Although I only knew your Mom for the last 22 years, we struck up a great friendship, lasting even after your parents moved to Clifford. We will truly miss her and our fun visits, both in person and on the phone. What I most admired about her was her resilience and her ability to find humour in life even when the chips were down. That is a lesson I will cherish for the rest of my days. She was also so kind and generous and she had a great outlook that we seriously admired. RIP dear Kathy.

It's been many, many years since we have spoken.
I have very fond memories of the little house on Islington Ave.
My mother, Jean Kerr, would take me to visit "Aunt" Vi . While they would sit in the kitchen having tea and talks I would be having fun with Barb.
I spoke with cousin Donna Fox nee Troyer and she told me of Kathy's passing.
Please known you are in my thoughts and prayers.
