Ruth Louise Orchard (nee Gray), of Mount Forest and formerly of Holstein, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at Royal Terrace Long Term Care, Palmerston on Friday, October 25th, 2019 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Orchard. Loving mother of Judy and her husband Bill Gerber and Dawn and her husband Jim MacEachern. Cherished grandmother of Britt and her husband Greg Chisholm, Dee-Ann and her husband Bob Becker, Jaye and her husband Keith Trask, Ashlee and her husband Doug Palmer, Somer and her husband Tom Antonopoulos. Great-grandmother of Wyatt, Somer, Blythe, Charlie, Hudson, Milo, Liza, Ethan, Lola and Beckett. Fondly remembered by sister Marjorie Crane, sister-in-law Yvonne Gray, step-sisters, extended family and friends. Predeceased by siblings Jean and her late husband Ted Weber, Jack Gray, Bert Gray and brother-in-law Roy Crane. A funeral service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held at First Baptist Church, 116 Fergus Street North, Mount Forest on Tuesday, October 29th at 12 p.m.., with visitation being held prior to the service from 11 – 11:45 a.m.  Interment at Holstein Cemetery, Holstein. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Spruce Ridge Community School Breakfast Program, or Nutrition for Learning would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
