NORTHCOTT, Gordon Ellison “Gord” “Gordo” – Passed away peacefully at the Louise Marshall Hospital on Friday, January 9, 2026 in his 84th year.
Cherished husband of Joyce Northcott (née Bartlett). Loving father of Craig Northcott (Patricia) of Singhampton and Wade Northcott (Sherry) of Mount Forest. Beloved grandfather of Johnathon Northcott (Tanya), Nicole Northcott-O'Brien (Robert), Megan Northcott-Sargent (Graham Sargent) and Ryan Northcott (Clarisse); and great-grandfather of Colton, Ava, Liam, Nolan, Caleb, Georgia, Jack, Miles, Ella, Madison, Chase, and Luke. Dear brother Marj Teichert of Windsor, Lewis Northcott (Verna) of Newfoundland, Jerry Northcott (Sandra) of Newfoundland, Roy Northcott (Sherma) of Ottawa, Karen Northcott of Brampton, and brother-in-law of Sandra Northcott of Alberta, Bob Bartlett (Pam) of Lindsay, Terry Bartlett (Valerie) of Alberta, and Frank Bartlett (Wanda) of Newfoundland. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Lewis and Margaret Northcott, sisters Edna Sheaves, Eileen Snellgrove, and Peggy Fitzpatrick, brothers Bill Northcott and Harold Northcott, brothers-in-law Alex Snellgrove, Gunther Teicher and Bob Fitzpatrick, and sister-in-law Cathy Bartlett.
A special thank you to the Paramedics, Dr. Reaume and staff, and Kim McCarthy for their care and compassion. Joyce is grateful to her daughter-in-law Pat, thank you for being there every step of this journey.

My condolences to you Joyce, the whole extended Northcott family and all the friends of Gordon. It brings me happiness to know that my brother lived a long, meaningful and happy life. I am thinking of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I will miss my regular phone calls with Gordon and our fun hockey conversations! May he rest in peace! 🙏❤️

Gord, was a very important part of the Mount Forest Seniors Group. He had a good sense of humour, and he loved to play Euchre.
