Gary, Brianna and Mark - it’s very hard to find the words to say how very sorry and saddened we are by Linda’s passing. She was an exceptional person and mom and will be dearly missed.
— Brenda and Allan Gilstorf, April 10, 2026I also wanted to add that she always, always, ALWAYS talked about Brianna and Mark while I was getting my hair done. They were obviously her pride and joy. I hope they see this and know just how much she loved them and gloated about their successes.
— Shania Dirstein, April 10, 2026I was so sorry to hear about Linda's passing. Throughout her fight she was always so positive and had a smile on her face. She did my hair for years, most recently only a few months ago, and even did my hair for prom when I was still in high school. In total I think over 10 years of having her as my hair dresser. Thinking of her family, and all those that loved her, during this difficult time.
— Shania Dirstein, April 10, 2026To Linda's family. We met Linda when we first moved to Mount Forest. We ended up being patrons at Paula's hair salon. We enjoyed our appointments at the Salon and came to know Linda thru our many chats at the salon over the years. Great lady who faced her illness with dignity and grace. May your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this challenging time. Just know Linda will be sincerely missed.

— Kurby Bearinger, April 10, 2026So very sorry for the loss of a wife, mother and hairdresser. I remember Linda back in the day, at Diane's beauty salon. This was when she was still Linda Harper. A beautiful woman, always smiling, and her calming personality. Rest in peace, beautiful angel.

We are heartbroken to hear of Linda’s passing and want to extend our deepest sympathy to Gary, Brianna, Mark, and the entire family. Linda wasn’t just someone who cut our hair — she became part of our lives. For more than 35 years, she welcomed us into her chair with that easy smile and a genuine interest in our lives.
We shared stories, recipes, hometown news, updates on our children’s activities and accomplishments, and countless laughs. We will always cherish those conversations and the time we spent getting to know her.
May she rest in peace, free from pain. As you grieve her loss, we hope you find comfort in knowing how many people were touched by Linda’s kindness and gentle nature.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Linda’s passing. She was not just an incredible hairdresser but a wonderful person in every sense. I truly cherished the moments spent catching up with her. She spoke so proudly of her children—Brianna, who completed her teaching degree, and Mark, who has become a talented chef and creates amazing desserts.
She always smiled when talking about her husband Gary. She really enjoyed working with Paula and was so excited about the new salon, it was clear that she felt truly fulfilled by the work and the people she was surrounded by.
Linda will be missed deeply, and her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. My thoughts are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
With deepest sympathy,
Julie MacEachern

3 weeks ago I bumped into Linda in front of the TD bank. Carolyn and I always enjoyed seeing her each Sunday in pre-Covid church with her family.
She wasn’t looking any different then when she cut my hair a couple years back on a walk- in. I instantly recognized those brown eyes!
I was happy to see that she appeared to be doing so well.
We talked for a little while about this, that and the other and off she went.
Last evening I read her obituary and have been thinking about her steadily since.
True courageous fighters really do come in unsuspecting packages.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind she was one. Linda exemplified resilience with true grit and spirit beyond my ability to comprehend.
What I will carry with me from this day forward is witnessing her ability to smile and laugh and share a quick, friendly conversation with me whilst under the load she was obviously carrying.
She will live on in many memories as a loyal, steadfast and wholesome fellow Canadian with an unwavering inner determination.
Randy and Carolyn Bye and Families.
Gary and family our deepest condolences. Our hearts are with you.
