Peter Komarniski
July 3, 2026

KOMARNISKI, Peter Walter – Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Friday, July 3, 2026 in his 85th year. Survived by his very best friend, Susan Guest. Dear father of Lori (Eyrill), Anthony, Wendi, and Jonathan (Kathy). Remembered by his six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Peter dedicated 33 years to Hostess Frito-Lay before retiring on July 1, 2006. Over the course of his career, he sold more than $22 million worth of potato chips and was honoured with the prestigious Donald M. Kendall Co-founders Award for 2003. Known throughout Alliston as the beloved "Chip Man”, Peter took great pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way.
Outside of work, Peter had a passion for hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time in the great outdoors. Above all, he enjoyed making people laugh. His favourite daily pastime was teasing his beloved Sue—a role he perfected with great skill and endless affection.
Private funeral arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Peter are asked to consider Cancer Patient Services of Mount Forest. Donations and online condolences may be made at www.englandfuneralhome.com
