GUNN, Thaddeus “Ted” – Unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the age of 61. Beloved husband of Lisa Gunn (née Sterritt) for 36 years. Loving father of Christopher (Andrea) and their daughter Chelsea. Ted will be missed by his siblings: Alice, Barb, Marg, Mary, Aggie, Betty, Donna, late Ann Marie, Teena, Paula, John and their families.
Ted worked the last 20-plus years at Shelburne Wood in Shelburne, Ontario, as a loader operator. In his spare time, Ted loved snowmobiling, fishing, and his Dodge trucks. He was a big-time jokester who was always good for a laugh, a kid at heart who enjoyed an occasional beer, especially with his friends who he stopped in to see every Friday after work. He had a way of making light of any situation. But above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.
Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest on Sunday, July 12th from 2:00-4:00p.m. Cremation to follow. I'm so sorry to hear of Ted's passing. I only seen him a few times, he was such a jokester. He loved his family deeply. He was so excited when he entered the grandparent club. Keep all your memories close.

Ted called Wednesday for a few wheelbarrow loads of topsoil. I sent him out to one of the pits that had some screened topsoil stockpiled there. He said he was going to shovel it on by hand.
Who would’ve ever known four days later he’d be gone.
Just goes to show you never can tell.

I am so deeply heartbroken for my partner Christopher with the loss of his father Ted Gunn. What a difficult time as he becomes a father himself. It breaks my heart for his mother Lisa - my deepest condolences on losing her husband, and our daughter Chelsea on the loss of her grandfather. He is gone far too soon - it breaks my heart that Chelsea won’t be able to grow-up with her grandfather and truly get to know him as we were able to. We will always tell her about Ted to carry on the legacy and are proud she carries his surname - she will always know how loved she truly was by Ted and the love we have for him! Ted is deeply loved and missed throughout the generations!
We got the news on Monday morning and our lives changed forever. Teddy was so happy, proud and honored to become a grandfather recently to our little Chelsea. What a great role model of a father figure to look up to such a family man and always being there and helping out when he could!
He will be loved and missed for eternity! We cherish all our memories with him! 💙🪽✨
