— Cathy Tohivsky, August 7, 2026

Dear Rose, Owen, Jack, and Natalie, Our hearts ache for your family. It is hard to make sense of a loss like this, especially when someone so deeply loved is taken far too soon. We hope that, in time, sorrow gives way to gratitude for the many moments shared and the lasting legacy of a husband's and father's love. During our AAA Hockey time together, we will always remember seeing Paul at the rink, quietly cheering Jack on, his face lighting up with a humble smile whenever Jack found himself on a scoring streak. Those small moments spoke volumes about the pride and love he carried for his family. May the memories you hold close bring comfort in the days ahead, and may Paul's memory be a gentle light that continues to guide and comfort those he loved most.

Rose, Owen, Madison, Jack, Natalie and extended family My heart is completely broken for you all. I can’t stop thinking about all the years of memories we’ve shared together—our family camping trips, all the laughs, the chaos, and the moments that meant so much. Paul was such a wonderful man.
Please know that you, the kids, and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that in time you can find comfort in the countless beautiful memories you shared with Paul and in the incredible legacy of love he leaves behind through all of you.
I wish there were words to make this hurt less, but there just aren’t. Please know we are here for you all!
