MORRIS, Patricia “Pat” Jean - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Morris at the age of 79. Patricia passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026 at the Hanover Hospital in Hanover, Ontario following a brief stay.
Pat was the eldest daughter of Stanley Morris and Viola (Spears) Morris of Mount Forest, Ontario. She was predeceased by both of her parents, her half-sister Deane MacDonald, half-brother Mervyn Sieber as well as her younger sister, Pauline Morris.
Pat lived a full and vibrant life. In her younger years, she was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending her winters in Florida. Pat also had a love of singing and, at one time, even auditioned for Don Messer’s Jubilee.
Pat cared deeply about others. She was a strong advocate for seniors’ rights, women’s rights, and any other causes she believed would benefit from her involvement. She was never afraid to speak up and stand up for what she believed was right.
Pat was a regular listener and participant of the local radio show on 89.3 CFOS to which she would express her "feelings" about the healthcare system for seniors along with other issues she felt needed to be addressed.
Although Pat did not socialize much outside her home, she was easy to become friends with, and her radio family became a very important part of her life. Like her sister, Pat lived life on her own terms. Her kindness, generosity, and the meaningful friendships she formed did not go unnoticed and were deeply appreciated by those who knew her.
A private graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Mount Forest, Ontario. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Pat are asked to consider a charity of their choice. Donations and online condolences may be made at www.englandfuneralhome.com

I always looked forward to her wordy and incredibly detailed emails over the years. Not to mention her colorful commentary, to say the least. RIP Pat....I'm sure you now know the answers to many of the questions we tried hard to figure out about our past.

My sincere condolences to Pat’s family and friends on this sad occasion. I worked with Pat occasionally and found she was a very nice person and fun to work with.
— David Tatler, August 21, 2026Pat and I were phone friends because we got too know each other through open line on CFOS Owen Sound. I would call Pat every morning for many years. The deal was that if i did not hear from her after calling for about thrree hours I was too call the Hanover Police to do a wllness check. Well they called me back a while later and said she had fell the night before and had been on the floor for 18 hours because she could not get too the phone. She was admitted to the Hanover hospital where she passed away 5 weeks later. She will be greatly missed love Walter and family.
