MUCKART, Arlene – Passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the age of 77.
Cherished partner of Dave Sparrow for 38 years. Beloved mother of Sherry (Frank) Facchini, and Ryan Muckart (Andrea Kmecza). Adored Grandma of Alaina and Marco Facchini. Survived by her siblings Jenny May Lowe, Dianne (Barry) Richardson; sisters-in-law Edith Brownridge and Janet (Rob) Radburn; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Jean Brownridge, brother David Brownridge, and brother-in-law David Lowe.
Arlene was a creative soul who found joy in painting, gardening, and spending time with her beloved dogs. Above all, she treasured time with her family, creating cherished memories through the simple moments they shared together.
Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest, on Thursday, September 10th from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., where the funeral service will be held on Friday, September 11th at 12 noon. Immediately following the service, the interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, 553002 County Road 16, Amaranth (outskirts of Orangeville). A private reception will be held. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Arlene are asked to consider Hospice Wellington or Cancer Patient Services. Donations and online condolences may be made at www.englandfuneralhome.com

On one occasion we were out ....yes bar hopping... and Arlene was asked for ID
I can still see her smile her bouncing and showing her ID. So excited that they wanted her proof of age.

She was my aunt, she was my friend, but most of all she was like a 2nd mother to me, especially when my 3 girls were little. I’m so happy she got to see those 3 little girls grow up to become beautiful souls, but so sad that she will not be here to share my joy if I ever become a grandmother. I loved sending her pictures of all the wildlife that would stroll through our back yard here in Cochrane Alberta, or when the mountains get their first snowfall, or the never ending sky here during a beautiful sunset, or a nasty storm. I’m especially going to miss our conversations. Whether it be on the phone or the past few years by Face Book Messenger. I am so grateful I was able to travel to Ontario in late June to say goodbye. That was the hardest thing to do, and I hated that I had to leave. She will always have a very special place in my heart, a heart that is literally breaking right now. I will miss her more than anything.

I knew Arlene when I was a little girl from Brampton her daughter Sherry and I went to school together, Arlene was someone who I will miss greatly and think of often. We would often get together with her partner Dave who is a good friend of my husband and me and shared some good times together, Arlene loved to paint and she loved her dog Tessa . Who she often talked about with me. As well as her beautiful family that she was very proud of. Rest in peace my sweet friend!

She definitely was a free spirit and a smile that would brighten any room she entered. She will be missed terribly, especially every April 29th when I’d call to wish her a happy birthday.
