Pieter van Ee

van Ee, Pieter - Of Arthur, passed away peacefully at Strathcona Long Term Care, Mount Forest, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in his 83rd year.

Loving father of Rosemary Thorne (James Coulter); grandfather of Dominik Thorne (Jessica Naftalis). He will also be missed by his sister Lydia and his extended family members. Fondly remembered by Shirley Boyko. Predeceased by his parents, Pieter and Lena van Ee; brother, Gysbertus van Ee; and sister, Janny Eiche.

Pieter had a wonderful way of making people smile and always went out of his way to make others feel welcome and comfortable. He was kind, helpful, and always willing to lend a hand. Pieter enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time with animals, and taking walks through the forest. He had a love for learning new things, and if he didn’t know how to fix something, he would research it until he figured it out. Pieter had a real spark for life and a curiosity that never faded.

Pieter will be dearly missed by his daughter and family, his many friends, and the staff at Strathcona Long Term Care, who came to know him during his time there.
