June Smith

June Sheila Smith (nee Graham), of Mount Forest, passed away at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 in her 85th year.  Beloved wife of Cecil Smith for 67 years.  Loving mother of Kathy and her husband Lyle Bender of Mount Forest, and Debbie and her husband Bruce Witherow of Mount Forest.  Cherished grandmother of Kimberly and her husband Sean MacMillan of Dundas, Kelly Bender of Waterloo, Kevin Bender and his wife Manda of Holstein, David Witherow and his wife Lydia Tietjen of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia, and Paula and her husband Jeff VanKessel of Oshawa.  Great-grandmother of seven.  Dear sister of Marie and her husband Eric Hansen.  Sister-in-law of Sherman Smith and his wife Joyce.  Predeceased by her brother George Graham and his late wife Gladys, her brother-in-law Vernon Smith and his late wife Charlotte, and her sister-in-law Ilene and her late husband Wray Moore.  Friends may call at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Wednesday, June 26th from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.  A funeral service celebrating June’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 196 Birmingham Street East, Mount Forest on Thursday at 1:30 p.m., with visitation being held at the church prior to the service from 12:30 – 1:15 p.m..  Interment at Mount Forest Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Mount Forest or Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
