Laura Marchment

Carrie Ellen Lauretta “Laura” Marchment (nee Hamilton), of Mount Forest and formerly of Streetsville, passed away at the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Sunday, May 12^th, 2019 in her 102^nd year.  Beloved wife of the late Albert Marchment.  Loving mother of Myrna and her husband Mel Penney of Mount Forest, and William Marchment and his wife Laura of  Illinois, USA.  Cherished grandmother of Craig Penney and his wife Joanne, Charlene and her husband Glen Hays, Derryl Marchment, and Tammy Marchment.  Great-grandmother of Wesley and his wife Christine, Stephanie, Nickolas, Brandon, Erica and Skye and great-great-grandmother of Owen.  Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and their families.  Predeceased by her granddaughter-in-law Linda Marchment, her nephew Tom, her brothers Russell, George, Willis, Floyd, Melville and Leslie Hamilton and by her sister Gwen Lister.  Laura was an active member of the Mount Forest United Church UCW, the Louise Marshall Hospital Auxilliary, the Senior Citizen Club and she was a volunteer with VON.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service celebrating Laura’s life will be held at the Mount Forest United Church, 175 Queen Street East, Mount Forest on Saturday, May 18^th at 11:30 a.m., with visitation being held at the church prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:15 a.m. Interment of cremated remains at Churchville Cemetery at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Mount Forest United Church, Churchville Cemetery, or Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
