Ferne Elizabeth Hershey (nee Pollard), of Harriston, passed away at Caressant Care, Harriston, on Friday, February 15th, 2019 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Mervin Hershey. Loving mother of Kevin Hershey and his wife Marilyn of Arthur. Cherished grandmother of 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Alvin Hershey, extended family and friends. Predeceased by two infant brothers, daughter Carol Hershey, and sister-in-law Ruth Hershey. A funeral service celebrating Ferne’s life will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 146 Sligo Road West, Mount Forest on Tuesday, February 19th at 1 p.m., with visitation prior to the service from 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Spring Interment at Chilton Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
