Fredric Norman Cooley of Mount Forest passed away at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 in his 78th year. Norm is survived by his wife Danielle of 43 years, his sisters Diane, and her husband Frank Sample, Cheryl Jarvie, and his aunt Edith Hagan. Norm will also be remembered by his daughter Karolyn and son Michael. Norm proudly served with Royal Canadian Air Force over 30 years, and enjoyed a long career over 17 years as a professor of electronics and computer math at many military institutions and college. Norm gave back to his community with faith spending 7 years as a preacher at Mount Forest and several other churches throughout Grey and Bruce counties. Norm also enjoyed his work instructing illiterately challenged people in reading, writing and arithmetic in the communities of Kingston and Summerside, PEI. A celebration of Norm’s life will be held at the Mount Forest United Church, 175 Queen Street East, on Wednesday, October 24th at 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place at the Mount Forest Cemetery. As an expression of condolences, memorial donations to Pancreatic Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
