To me Alex Watson was a real gentleman with whom it was a pleasure to have a conversation. When he played the pipes and marched in the parades THAT was Alex. I have been honoured to have known him.

Sherry and I send our deepest sympathies on the passing of Alex and we apologize as we just heard this afternoon. Sherry has so many fond memories growing up with Doris since at least kindergarten. Myself, I had the privilege of working with Alex over 30 years ago and very quickly I recognized his mentorship went far beyond the electrical field and for that I will always be indebted to Alex. The dictionary defines a HERO as a person who, in the opinion of others, has made special achievements, abilities or personal qualities and is regarded as a role model or ideal,, sure sounds like Alex Watson to me. Rest in peace Alex. Mike and Sherry McDonald

Sorry to hear about Alex. I remember so many things about him. I remember the old house, sliding down the hill, building the new house, Working on the farm with your family tossing bales and laying field tiles. Alex was always firm, but fair. Especially with all the kids hanging around playing in the yard. Oh yes, the days after school hanging out at the hardware store, I still to this day think of Alex and Vietta when walking the rows in other hardware stores. I am sure everyone who met him has memories like these. Oh yes, he always made sure to have the best sand box on the street!
