Ivadel Lillian Rice (nee Wilson), formerly of Mount Forest, passed away peacefully with family members at her side, at Wellington Terrace, Fergus on Saturday, December 9th, 2017 in her 85th year.  Loving mother of Merlin Rice (Kym) of Mount Forest, Karen Rice (Douglas Ludwig) of Toronto, and Jay Rice (Darlene) of Mount Forest. Cherished grandmother of Shannon Rice (Sarah) and Nathan Rice (Emily Hodges); Victoria Ludwig, Jonathan Ludwig, Jillian Ludwig; Darryl Rice (Allison) and Tyler Rice (Taylor). Great-grandmother of Annabel and Emma; Everleigh and Lennox.  Dear sister of Alfred Wilson (Doreen), Minnie McNeish, Vietta (Alex Watson), and Nora Gray.  Predeceased by her brothers George, Gilbert, Gordon, Leonard, Allen, Garnet, and Harvey Wilson, and her sisters, Nellie Hamilton, Laura McKee, and Mary Francis.

Ivadel was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. She enjoyed gardening, long walks and spending time with Guinness, a family wheaten terrier who brought her and the entire family much joy.   Guinness predeceased her, four days prior, in his 16th year.

Ivadel’s family will receive friends at the England Funeral Home, Mount Forest on Thursday, December 14th from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m.  A celebration of Ivadel’s life will be held at the Mount Forest United Church on Friday at 11 a.m.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the VON Canada would be appreciated by the family.
