Dear Dorothy and Family, We were very sorry to hear about Karl’s death. We have been thinking about all of you this week with fond memories of our early years in Mount Forest. It is hard to believe that more than fifty years have gone by since we chatted over the back fence in the Main Street neighbourhood, too busy with small children to stop and pull the weeds! We are happy to hear that you and Karl have enjoyed the company of your adult children and grandchildren. Grandparenthood is, without doubt, one of the best things in life! We have now lived in Guelph longer than we lived in Mount Forest but we try to keep in touch with news from the little town. Take care. We would love to see you again ... Hugs, Jean and Doug

Dorothy and all your family: Marion and I wish to convey our sincere sadness with Karl's passing. We really enjoyed your company as a couple and always treasured the good fortune to socialize with you. Always a pleasant experience. We will always hold on to the memory of sitting with you for dinner at our Club's AGM in Markdale recently. We go there often and fond memories will surely come with each visit. Marion and I had definitely planned to attend at the Funeral Home, however we send our regrets we cannot be there. We will be thinking of you. May God Bless you all at this difficult time. Dorothy, Roger, Rodney, Roxanne & families, Alyce & Arnold, Bonnie & Wilson, We were saddened to hear of Karl's passing and our condolences and thoughts go out to you at this time, as you mourn a husband, father, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law. We had the pleasure of having Karl come into our lives many years ago and we have many wonderful memories of not only his mechanical service on our vehicles (Rodney too) and his love of old cars, but his sincere, courteous, personality which shone out when he and you Dorothy were going on a walk hand in hand around town. Our prayers go out to you all. Bruce, Paula, Justin & Amanda Ghent, Belleville, Ontario.
